We’re celebrating Oktoberfest with a limited-time seasonal menu featuring hearty, comforting dishes paired with a lineup of festival beers — available now at our Kansas City-area locations in Overland Park, Shawnee, and Parkville.
What is Oktoberfest?
Oktoberfest is a traditional German festival celebrating beer, food, and community, best known for the annual event held in Munich, Germany. It began in 1810 as a celebration of a royal wedding and has since grown into a worldwide tradition celebrated at bars and restaurants — including Nick and Jake’s!
Why is Oktoberfest in September Instead of October?
Despite the name, most of Oktoberfest actually happens in September. The original Munich festival was moved earlier in the calendar to take advantage of warmer, longer daylight hours before autumn weather sets in. Today, most Oktoberfest celebrations — including seasonal menus and promotions at restaurants like Nick and Jake’s — run through September and into early October to align with that same tradition.
When Can I Get the Oktoberfest Menu?
The Oktoberfest menu is available for a limited time this fall. We offer two weeks of incredible specials.
Week One Menu: September 22nd – September 28th
Week Two Menu: September 29th – October 4th

Reverse Happy Hour: Monday–Thursday 9:00–10:00 PM, Friday–Saturday 9:00–11:00 PM
